Skylar McLaren grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and began dancing at three years old. Starting as a student at Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts, she learned all forms of dance types, specializing in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. At eight years old she began competitive dance, traveling all over the country. Leading her to win a 1st place title with a contemporary duet at Nationals in Anaheim California. She continued to dance competitively for 8 years. She began teaching and assisting classes throughout high school and formed an online dance school to help children continue to move and learn during Covid. She is excited to now offer a CMC class and work with children of all ages in person.
