RAPID SKETCHING

Whether drawing a  local landmark or one on vacation; the barista who made your latte;  or the dishes in your sink -  urban sketching calms the mind, lifts the spirit and connects us to one another and our surroundings. 
Join experienced urban sketcher, Liz Karr, for 6 weeks of  sketching on campus and on location in the Rifle community. Mini lessons on a variety of sketching techniques, styles, subjects and materials will build confidence and skill, while encouraging a lifelong sketching habit. 

Required Materials:
1) travel-sized watercolor or mixed media sketchbook
2) a waterproof or water resistant black pen
3) one (or more) forms of water-based color, such as watercolor paint in a  travel palette*, watercolor pencils or markers. 
*The instructor will have Winsor Newton watercolor paint palettes with water brushes available for purchase at the first class for $10 and waterproof pens available for purchase for $1.50
