Build on beginner skills with intermediate techniques and slightly larger projects designed to expand your confidence and making ability. Over six weeks you’ll deepen machine proficiency, participate in project planning, learn to create simple patterns, and complete 2–3 intermediate projects (including projects you may want to bring from home.)
By course end you will confidently install zippers and buttonholes, construct basic patterns, and complete an intermediate-level garment.
Prerequisite: Sewing Fundamentals I or equivalent basic skills (able to thread and operate a machine, sew straight and curved seams, and read simple patterns).
It is highly recommended to bring your own sewing machine if available (machines provided if needed).
Pattern and fabric list will be provided before the first class
Please note this class will be held at the CMC Salida Annex, across the street from the main campus
