Conversational Spanish - Intermediate

Take your Spanish to the next level in this engaging three-hour conversation class designed for adults with a basic foundation in the language. Strengthen your vocabulary, fluency, and conversational skills through guided instruction, interactive activities, and practical grammar in context. During the final hour, you'll practice with native Spanish speakers in a relaxed, supportive environment, helping you build confidence for travel, work, and everyday conversations.

 

Instructor Carlos Martin-Cespedes is an educator from Almería, Spain, who has lived and worked in Colorado since 2012. Passionate about experiential education and outdoor learning, he enjoys helping students build confidence, creativity, leadership, and real world skills.

Over the years, Carlos has worked as a Spanish teacher, outdoor educator, soccer coach, and advisor at Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Most recently, he taught English to immigrant middle school students in the Roaring Fork Valley and has also supported local families through Garfield County Social Services.

When he's not teaching, Carlos enjoys skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, soccer, playing guitar, chess, and reading. He loves bringing people together through sports and helps organize a weekly pickup soccer game in Carbondale.
