Ever wanted to explore the art of ceramics and wheel throwing? Come get your hands in clay as you learn the fundamentals of wedging, centering, and pulling walls to create both functional pottery and sculptural forms. Students will explore techniques for throwing cylinders, mugs, bowls, and more, while experimenting with surface decoration techniques such as sgraffito. Beginners will build a strong foundation, while more experienced students are encouraged to refine their skills and develop a cohesive body of work. All skill levels are welcome!
Students must purchase clay from CMC. Clay cost is not included in the course cost.
