How to Be Your Own Therapist

« back to classes page
Discover how to take control of your thoughts and emotions using powerful self-help techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). In this class, you will learn how to reframe negative thought patterns into positive, constructive messaging while identifying and challenging long-held, self-sabotaging beliefs. You will explore the ways your thinking shapes your experiences and emotions, develop strategies to stay present and avoid catastrophizing, and build problem-solving skills to manage anger effectively. Additionally, you will practice using affirmations and meditation to cultivate inner peace. Through guided exercises and discussion, this class provides practical tools to reshape your belief system and take charge of your mental well-being.

Dr. Terry Bordan, a nationally certified counselor and licensed professional counselor (LPC), brings extensive expertise to this course.
