Ukrainian Egg Decorating

« back to classes page
Start your own tradition of making these beautiful eggs each year. This activity has been practiced for thousands of years in Eastern Europe as a way of welcoming spring.  Ukrainian eggs are decorated with beautiful colored patterns that use beeswax as a resist. The eggs are easy to make and are lovely whether the pattern is simple or complex. The process is relaxing and fun, and you get to take 2 or 3 beautiful eggs away with you at the end of the day.
