Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

A 1,000-year-old social ritual celebrating coffee’s birthplace and namesake, Keffa, Ethiopia. This sen-sory, three-round process focuses on welcoming guests and prioritizing community over speed, ac-companied with frankincense and buna quirs(coffee snacks). This class we will include learning the process of roasting coffee and making coffee snacks. Etenish Bartley is an Ethiopian American who has been preparing and serving her amazing Ethiopian food in the Roaring Fork Valley for 16 years.
